Most know the story of "how it all began" but for those who don't, let me bring you up to date. Ed and I met and began dating in 1997 while attending college at the University of Alabama. It's true, he was a sweaty grill cook and I was a lowly front of the house server. Our courtship began as a friendship but quickly grew when we discovered our mutual love and respect for family, nature, dogs, art, music and food. Don't tell Ed but the truth is... he had me the second I realized he would drop everything to call his momma each and every Sunday - without fail.

From the beginning, I always knew he was the one that I'd marry. I just never knew how we would get from dating to being engaged to being married. You see, Ed's not the most romantic guy. He's not much of a planner. And he's never been in a hurry to do anything. So after 5 years of dating, Ed without a ring and without a plan, asked me if I wanted to set a date. The following year on July 4, 2003 we married.
Today, eight years later, we are the proud (and tired) parents of three beautiful (and very different) little girls. Rylee is a 6 year old 1st grader. Emory is a 2 year old handful and little Lucy is an 11 month old trying to find her place amongst all the chaos. The three of them together are Duck Duck and a little Goosey.
